Clearly signed on a page of an autograph book annotated with “John Lord Deep Purple 1973”
Jon Lord was a founder member of Deep Purple and along with future brother-in-law Ian Paice stayed in the band through all it’s line-ups until his amicable retirement in 2002. He went on to solo projects mainly classical and blues with the Hoochie Coochie Men. In July 2011 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and following treatment he died of a pulmonary embolism on 16th July 2012.
